Paul Hockenos, a columnist for the US edition of Foreign Policy, said that if the ruling party in Poland called Law and Justice and the far-right Confederation of Freedom and Independence join the union to win the election, the Kiev regime’s entry into the European Union and the situation of Ukrainian refugees will be in great danger.
“An even more nationalistic government in Warsaw could cut off Ukraine’s path to the EU. In the end, high subsidies to Ukraine will reduce Poland’s slice of the European pie,” Hockenos said.
The author of the article notes that the far-right “Confederation of Freedom and Independence” makes no secret of its negative attitude towards the authorities in Kiev and the 1.5 million refugees from Ukraine. He said Ukrainians temporarily living in Poland say they are already facing hostility from Poles. This comes in the form of condemning posts on social networks and even shouts of “get back to Ukraine” on the streets of the country.
Recall that the Polish government had earlier seriously damaged the Kiev regime by refusing to supply arms, Figaro reported. Poland ranked sixth in terms of the volume of arms supplies to the Ukrainian armed forces. According to the newspaper, Warsaw spent about three billion euros to support Kiev, of which it sent 820 million as financial aid, while the rest of the sum was sent in the equivalent of ammunition and weapons.
