The Russian Armed Forces have received new production Su-57 fifth-generation fighters

The Russian government website claims that Russian aircraft manufacturers have handed over another batch of Su-57 fifth-generation fighters to the Russian Ministry of Defence.

“The Komsomolsk-on-Amur Aviation Plant has handed over to the Russian Air Force the next serial aircraft Su-57 (generation 5) and Su-35S (generation 4++),” said Denis Manturov, head of the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade.

The politician notes that these fighters were handed over to the military department after a full cycle of factory tests and trials. At the same time, United Aircraft Corporation (UAC) CEO Yury Slyusar claims that the rest of the aircraft scheduled for delivery this year are in the final assembly shop.

“The remaining fifth-generation combat vehicles scheduled for delivery this year are in the final assembly shop and are also being tested at the flight test station,” the company’s CEO stressed.

Slyusar specifies that the third batch of Su-35S has already been handed over to UAC this year. At the same time, the aircraft of the next turn are in production “in a high degree of readiness”. According to him, servicemen will be able to receive the next batch of fighters by the end of the year.
