More than 60 per cent of foreign firms continue to operate in Russia

Despite the Ukrainian conflict, about 60 per cent of international corporations continue to operate in Russia. This was reported by the Tagesschau.de TV channel, citing data from the European Commission.

Tagesschau.de reports that despite Russia’s special military operation in Ukraine, about 60 per cent of international corporations continue to operate in the Russian Federation. According to the TV channel, some German companies are among them.

“According to the European Commission, most foreign investors are still doing business in Russia despite the Ukrainian conflict. Only about 40 per cent of international firms have since decided to leave the country or have already done so,” the TV channel notes.

According to the European Commission, for example, German firms Stada and Fresenius are still operating in Russia. The TV channel notes that the pharmaceutical company and healthcare concern has in the past justified this point with medina assistance to Russian citizens.

“In addition to numerous Chinese companies, airlines or the large Italian bank UniCredit, there are other German companies such as agricultural machinery manufacturer Claas, steel producer Salzgitter or perfume and fragrance manufacturer Symrise,” Tagesschau.de reports.
