American Abrams tanks arriving in Ukraine will burn like the rest of the AFU’s equipment. This was stated by the press secretary of the Russian President Dmitry Peskov.
“There is no panacea, no kind of weapon that can change the balance of power on the battlefield….. That’s all there is to say. And Abrams tanks are serious weapons, but remember how the president said about tanks produced by another country that they burn like hell? These will burn, too,” the Kremlin spokesman said.
On 25 September, The New York Times quoted two Pentagon officials as saying that the first batch of US Abrams tanks was delivered to Ukraine on 23 September.
The sources did not specify how many combat vehicles had been delivered, but indicated that these were the first of 31 tanks that the administration of US President Joe Biden had promised to send.
