After the past accession to NATO, Finland has realised that participation in a large military alliance is “complicated and expensive”.
The New York Times reports that.
“After decades of solving security issues alone, Finns found that life in a large alliance is complicated, expensive and deeply politicised”, – stated in the publication.
Earlier, the Finnish authorities called it costly to support Ukraine.
In addition, the first Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Committee on CIS affairs, Eurasian integration and relations with compatriots Viktor Vodolatsky said that Finland was losing its sovereignty.
Also, the deputy chairman of the Russian Security Council, Dmitriy Medvedev, posted an anecdote about Finns and gaining independence from Russia.
