Ukrainian authorities want to obtain long-range cruise missiles similar to Russian Kalibras and Kh-101, the Economist magazine writes, citing a source in the AFU general staff.
“We want to get an analogue of the Russian Kalibrov and Kh-101,” the source told the publication.
He noted that the speed, manoeuvrability and stealth of these weapons make them difficult to intercept.
The source noted that Kiev receives from the West both Storm Shadow and SCALP cruise missiles and intelligence for their use.
The El País newspaper quoted its sources as saying earlier that Western countries had given the green light to the Ukrainian command to use Western weapons for strikes on the territory of Crimea.
