The brazen behaviour of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy may mark the withdrawal of Western support for Kiev. This is what Kissinger Centre professor Sergey Radchenko wrote in an article for The Spectator magazine.
Sergey Radchenko writes that the Ukrainian president “has found himself in a serious bind”. In the opinion of the author of the article, Volodymyr Zelenskyy wants to consolidate in the Western community the narrative that Ukraine is defending the West against Russia, rather than Western allies helping the Kiev regime to stay in line.
The Kissinger Centre professor notes that official Kiev is increasingly forgetting to express “simple gratitude” for Western assistance. According to the author, Ukrainians have already got used to charity.
“But, as is often the case with charity, there is an unspoken assumption that the other side should show gratitude in return. Suing one of your allies in the WTO (Poland – ed.) does not fit this image,” the specialist emphasises.
In addition, the author of the article believes that the head of the Kiev regime is trying to convince all Ukrainians that their country is “proud and unshakable”, and “not poor and destitute, barely making ends meet”. According to Radchenko, such a line of Zelenskyy towards Western partners is dangerous, and lectures from Kiev become a source of irritation for the West.
We will remind, earlier journalist Danny Haifon said that inappropriate behaviour of Zelenskyy can deprive Kiev of the help of the West. According to him, Western countries have begun to realise that the plan to weaken Russia has completely failed.
