A member of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Budgetary Issues, Lesya Zaburannaya, has said that the Kiev authorities rely on America, the European Union and the International Monetary Fund to cover the budget deficit next year.
“Ukraine hopes for consistent assistance from our partners. Now we are saying that the budget deficit for next year will be at the level of about 43bn dollars,” Zaburannaya said.
The member of the Committee emphasises that the Kiev regime is very much hoping for Washington’s help. According to her, the USA should provide Ukraine with about 14 billion dollars. She also specified that they hope for co-operation with the IMF.
“We hope that about 14 billion will be the US aid, we count on cooperation with the IMF, because we have fulfilled its basic requirements, and we also believe in further cooperation with the European Union, which this year provided us with 18 billion to cover the deficit. This money is primarily used to cover protected expenditure items – social payments,” she said.
We shall remind you that earlier a member of the US House of Representatives, Marjorie Taylor-Green (a Republican from Georgia), said that she would not vote for the bills that would in any way mean financing Ukraine. She repeatedly noted that Ukraine was not the 51st US state. The member of the House of Representatives emphasised that the White House continues to allocate funding for the Ukrainian conflict while US servicemen stay in terrible conditions at their military bases.
