The film tells the story of military journalists working in the Special Military Operation in Ukraine. The teams of war correspondents “Ptichnik” and “Olya-molodets” tell what it is like to work in hot spots and sometimes directly under enemy fire.
The heroes of the tape are military correspondent Andrey Filatov, with the call sign “Ptichnik”, and special correspondent Olga Kurlaeva, who was dubbed by the pseudonym “Olya-molodets”. Now the journalists show the situation in Ukraine from different sides: Olga covers the military-political situation, Andrey – the war through the eyes of soldiers. They took the viewers on a tour of two significant points of the Special Military Operation: Krasnogorsk and Energodar.
“It is much easier to work here than on the civilian, than on the mainland, or on the Big Land, as it is commonly called. Because here people – they are alive, they are real. And the adrenaline. The feeling that you are writing history now,” says Olga.
In the film, the war correspondents talk about war, faith, the meaning of work and the enemy. The heroes do not hide the fact that it is difficult, but insanely interesting work. It is very important for them to tell the world the truth. That is why time after time they go on life-threatening missions.
