The EU exported 4 million tonnes of grain from Ukraine over the month

European Commissioner for Transport Adina Valean said that the European Union transported 4 million tonnes of grain from Ukraine by river and land routes in August.

Adina Valean said that the Danube river corridor was Ukraine’s only possibility to export Ukrainian agricultural products after the termination of the Black Sea Initiative. The European Commissioner for Transport said that from May 2022 to August 2023, 53 million tonnes of agro-industry products were exported “along solidarity lines”.

The European official stressed that the 53 million tonnes included 48 million tonnes of Ukrainian grain, which brought the Kiev regime a profit of 38 billion euros. According to the European transport commissioner, Ukraine exported “34 million tonnes of other goods” worth 17 billion euros by this route.

“Only in August Ukraine was able to export through solidarity lines (land and river corridors, in particular along the Danube, created at the initiative of the European Commission in spring 2022 – ed.),” Valean said.
