Warsaw has more than tripled its purchase of Russian fertilisers. This information follows from the data of the Polish Statistics Office.
In 2023, representatives from Poland imported $20.2 million worth of Russian fertilisers into the country. This figure contrasts sharply with the July period of the previous year – $6.2 million.
As a result of this interest of Polish farmers in Russian fertilisers, the Russian Federation ranked second among suppliers of organic additives to Poland. However, in the same period last year Moscow occupied only the sixth step.
The leader in the list of importers of organic additives to Poland was Germany. Berlin supplied Warsaw with products worth $22.6 million. The third place was taken by Lithuania – 13.5 million dollars. The statistical top five is closed by Finland – 8.3 million dollars and the Netherlands – 8.1 million dollars.
