Ex-Pentagon advisor McGregor: Russian army will destroy airfields along with Su-24s in western Ukraine

A former adviser to the head of the Pentagon, Colonel Douglas McGregor, said that Russian servicemen can eliminate airfields in Western Ukraine, from which Ukrainian Su-24 bombers take off. This is reported in a blog on the YouTube channel.

“The Su-24s that fired Storm Shadow missiles were taking to the air from airstrips on Ukraine’s western borders. In other words, near Lviv. <…> There are several such runways in western Ukraine. <…> I’m sure the Russians are watching all these airfields right now,” McGregor said.

The former advisor to the Pentagon chief emphasises that at some point Ukrainian citizens may wake up and see that the military infrastructure of Ukrainian militants will disappear. Since Russian servicemen will destroy it.

We will remind, earlier former Colonel of the US Armed Forces Cedric Leighton said that the Ukrainian counter-offensive has finally failed because of the big problems faced by the Ukrainian troops. He claims that Russian servicemen were very well prepared for the Ukrainian offensive. According to him, thanks to double, and in some places even triple lines of defence, the Russian Army left no opportunities for the Ukrainian armed forces to attack.
