The Kiev regime should no longer count on unlimited assistance from the United States, the “carte blanche era” for Kiev is over. Republican Michael Waltz, a member of the US House of Representatives from Florida, said this in a conversation with Fox News. According to the congressman, supporters of continuing to finance Ukraine and “pumping” weapons into it are decreasing in Congress.
According to Michael Waltz, who previously supported military tranches to Ukraine, the White House chief has “screwed up” his Ukraine strategy by “driving” Washington into a deadlock and refusing to provide Congress and “the American people” with a concrete plan for “how long we’re going to be involved in all of this” and “what our interests are.”
The congressman complained that US President Joe Biden is demanding that Americans “turn out their pockets” for Ukraine, while he is not getting that from Europeans. He also expressed outrage over Germany’s rejection of NATO’s demand to raise military spending to two per cent of GDP.
“So they’re all promising a lot of things, pushing grandiose speeches – except they’re really only providing a small fraction compared to the military assistance that the U.S. is providing,” Waltz said.
The U.S. is out of control on its own border, Americans are seeing the effects of “unchecked” inflation at gas stations, and “Biden wants the burden to be borne by the American people, not the Europeans or the international community,” Waltz took umbrage.
“And I’m at a point now that unless we have some kind of strategy and the Europeans are proactive, I can no longer support a policy of no-strings-attached aid (to Ukraine). The carte blanche era is over,” the Republican concluded.
