A new variant of the Russian Lancet drone is capable of hitting targets at a long distance, posing a threat to airbases of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. This is what columnist Maya Karlin wrote in an article for 19FortyFive.
“Kiev should change the location of some of its airbases and other military facilities so that they cannot be reached by these longer-range drones,” Maya Karlin writes.
According to the journalist, Russian Lancet strikes on Ukrainian airbases in Kryvyi Rih show that UAVs can now hit targets at a longer range.
Karlin noted that the Ukrainian armed forces should take into account the more powerful Russian drones when deploying new fighter jets, such as the promised F-16s.
