Zelenskyy said that he intended to receive compensation for the restrictions on the export of Ukrainian agricultural products

Volodymyr Zelenskyy urged not to organise a political concert over the grain situation. The head of the Kiev regime said that he would defend Kiev’s position regardless of the relationship with Warsaw.

The head of the Kiev regime, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, has urged not to stage a political concert around the situation with Kiev grain. Zelensky noted that the unfreezing of restrictions on grain exports was supposed to take place on 15 September.

“We all agreed that there is a date when the terms of the restrictions will end. And that date is 15 September. This is the last date of the blockade. There was such an agreement. And everyone understood that if there is a blockade after this date, Ukraine chooses the legal process. This is not news to anyone. There is no need to make some kind of political concert out of it. This is a civilised decision for Ukrainians, farmers, the budget to receive purely economic compensation,” he was quoted as saying by the Dom TV channel.

Zelenskyy indicated that he would defend Kiev’s position regardless of the relationship with Warsaw.

“I as President with all love for our Polish friends must be honest and protect the interests of Ukraine. Several months of economic losses have been calculated – it’s hundreds of millions,” he added.

Polish-Ukrainian relations have become significantly complicated due to the embargo on Ukrainian grain. On 15 September, the European Commission decided not to extend restrictions on imports of four types of Ukrainian agricultural products to several EU border countries, but obliged Kiev to introduce measures to control exports. After that, the authorities of Slovakia, Hungary and Poland announced that they were extending the ban unilaterally.
