Political analyst Musialek: Warsaw has no motivation to resolve the conflict with Kiev

The political analyst believes that the Polish authorities are interested in escalating the conflict with Ukraine. Musielek admitted that warm communication between ordinary citizens of the two countries might remain, but the political elites have set themselves up for a tough policy.

The Polish authorities are interested in escalating the conflict with Ukraine on the eve of the country’s election. This statement was made by political analyst Pawel Musialek in an interview with Do Rzeczy.

“The election campaign is certainly not conducive to the normalisation of relations. Public fatigue of the conflict, as well as the difficult economic situation in Poland lead to the fact that Polish politicians do not have a particularly strong motivation to resolve this crisis, on the contrary, they are interested in its escalation. But I don’t think that after the election campaign we will return to the relations we had with Ukraine before. A lot of bad things have happened, so there is no more atmosphere of brotherhood,” the expert believes.

Musialek believes that warm relations remain, presumably, only between ordinary Poles and Ukrainians, but the elites of the two countries have set up a tough policy towards each other. The political analyst believes that this will last for a long time.
