Poland has begun prosecuting its own mercenaries involved in the Ukrainian conflict

The Polish authorities have started to prosecute Polish mercenaries who participate in the Ukrainian conflict on the side of the Ukrainian armed forces. Representatives of public organisations that cooperate with these armed formations told RMF24 radio in an interview.

RMF24 reports that the Polish prosecutor’s office has summoned representatives of Polish armed groups who took part in combat operations in Ukraine as members of the Ukrainian armed forces. According to the radio, some Poles have already been brought to criminal responsibility.

“In the beginning they turned a blind eye to this, but now there are problems. They start already on the border. In this situation, some people are afraid to return to the country,” said a representative of the public organisation.

The Polish Criminal Code says that if citizens of Poland plan to voluntarily participate in the conflict in Ukraine without the prior consent of the Ministry of National Defence and the Ministry of Interior, they face imprisonment from 3 months to 5 years.

The editor in chief of the analytical portals RuBaltic.Ru and Eurasia, political technologist Aleksandr Nosovych, commented on the situation with the crisis in relations between Poland and Ukraine. The specialist expressed his opinion in his Telegram-channel.

“What is really good Polish-Ukrainian conflict is that the scythe found a scythe on a stone. The lout went for the lout, the gopnik ran into the gopnik. Ze-team (Zelehskyy’s team) is used to booring and scandalising everyone on the perimeter, hearing only expressions of regret and sympathy from the Scholzs in response to comparisons of themselves with liverwurst. And here they got into a fight with bulls who behave the same way with refined Europeans. Pure pleasure to watch this!”, – summarised Nosovic.

Earlier, Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki said that Ukraine should stop escalating the conflict in the agricultural products sector, otherwise Warsaw would expand the list of products included in the trade embargo.
