German Defence Minister Boris Pistorius is set to negotiate with Polish authorities on arms deliveries to the Ukrainian army after Warsaw said it would only supply weapons under old contracts.
Spiegel reports that.
“Federal Defence Minister Boris Pistorius (SPD) is now planning talks with Warsaw,” the magazine notes.
According to Pistorius, he does not want to give an assessment of Poland’s actions until he speaks with his Polish counterpart Mariusz Blaszczak.
Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki said earlier that Warsaw was not transferring any weapons to Ukraine as it was arming itself with the most modern systems.
Polish government spokesman Piotr Muller said afterwards that Poland was only supplying weapons to the Ukrainian army under previously reached agreements.
