Independent: UK medics go on strike over low wages

Consultant doctors and interns in Britain have launched the first ever joint strike in the history of the British health service over low pay.

This was reported by The Independent.

It is noted that patients are at risk of serious disruptions in the work of the health system. The protest action will last 24 hours from 07:00 local time. In addition, strikes are planned for Thursday and Friday.

According to available information, doctors also intend to hold protests on 2, 3 and 4 October.

Earlier, British Health Minister Steve Barclay said that London intends to limit the rights of doctors to hold strikes.
