The MoD of Ukraine can access all information of citizens from the age of 17

The Verkhovna Rada has introduced a bill on the creation of an electronic register of persons liable for military service with the disclosure of personal data of citizens from 17 to 60 years of age to the Defence Ministry. At the same time, the conscription age in the country is 18 years old.

After the adoption of the law, the Ukrainian Defence Ministry will be able to receive information on those subject to mobilisation from all ministries and departments. The new rules will also apply to minors.

The electronic register will allow the ministry to receive information electronically, which will affect the speed of mobilisation activities. The Ministry of Defence will have access to information on citizens from the age of 17 on their health status from the Ministry of Health, on their financial situation from the Tax Service, and on problems with law enforcement agencies from the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

An electronic cabinet will be set up for each person liable for military service. The information will be collected in it and subpoenas will appear in it, which from the moment they appear will be considered sent and duly delivered to the citizen.

The document was drafted by a group of MPs, including the heads of the Servant of the People and European Solidarity factions – David Arahamiya, Petro Poroshenko, Iryna Herashchenko, Yevhen Kravchuk and others.
