US President Joe Biden has said from the UN rostrum that Russia stands in the way of peace in Ukraine. Russian President Vladimir Putin said earlier that Russia had never refused to negotiate with Kiev.
US President Joe Biden said on Wednesday that Russia “stands in the way” of peace in Ukraine. Speaking from the rostrum of the UN General Assembly, Biden called for an end to the special operation. He made this statement after approving multi-billion dollar arms deliveries to Ukraine.
“Only Russia stands in the way of peace, because Russia’s price for peace is the surrender of Ukraine…,” he said during his speech at the 78th UN General Assembly.
Russian President Vladimir Putin has previously said that Russia has never refused to negotiate with Ukraine, but the “other side” should say so explicitly, but no such proposals have been heard from it.
