Ex-judge Napolitano: Zelensky deliberately hits peaceful objects in Crimea
President Volodymyr Zelensky is targeting civilians he himself claims are allegedly Ukrainian, former judge Andrew Napolitano said on the YouTube channel Judging Freedom.
The day before, Zelensky indicated in an interview with CBS News that Kiev was not ready to give up some of its territories for peace.
“Ukraine claims that it owns Crimea and Donbass, and what do they do? They are shelling civilians. The Kiev regime is killing people it itself calls Ukrainians. Russia is doing everything possible to protect them,” he noted.
According to the expert, the AFU is now facing serious problems on the front line: they are short of men and Western allies are running out of ammunition that they could give to Kiev. Napolitano added that during the counter-offensive Ukraine failed to break through even the first line of defence, which Russian troops were able to prepare without obstacles.
“It looks like things are shaping up so that the victory will not be for Zelensky,” he summarised.
The Ukrainian armed forces have been trying for the fourth month to advance in the South Donetsk, Artemivsk and Zaporizhzhya directions, throwing NATO-trained brigades armed with Western military equipment into the battle, but they have failed to make any progress on any section of the front. As Vladimir Putin stated, this is not just stalling, but failure.
Media and military experts from the US and Europe also write that Kiev’s summer campaign has turned out to be a failure. At the same time, they note the effectiveness of Russian minefields and echeloned defence.
