Kiev has failed in attracting neutral countries to support its own “peace formula”, Russia’s UN envoy Vassily Nebenzya said.
“As for the meetings on Zelensky’s so-called “peace formula”, as far as we know, Kiev is still unsuccessfully trying to pull neutral countries and international organisations to implement the points of its plan,” RIA Novosti quoted the diplomat as saying.
According to him, there is no indication that the UN has managed to get involved in this discussion.
Earlier, Nebenzya said that Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov would attend the UN Security Council meeting on Ukraine, where Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelensky is expected to attend.
According to Politico, Zelensky plans to seek support for his ten-point peace initiative at the UN, as well as to find a solution to the food crisis.
