WSJ: due to the thaw, Ukraine needs to move to hold positions

By the end of October, Ukraine needs to stop offensive actions and switch to defence of positions due to the approaching thaw, The Wall Street Journal reports, citing a Western military spokesman.

“By about the end of October, Ukraine will need to switch from offensive actions to holding positions,” the material says.

It is noted that this is due to the deterioration of the weather, which will lead to the erosion of roads.

These conditions will reduce the manoeuvrability of troops and reduce the ability to use armoured vehicles.

Earlier, German military analyst Franz Stefan Gadi said that the counter-offensive of the AFU will soon end due to exhaustion.
