US has stopped supplying Ukraine with heavy armoured vehicles

According to RT, the United States has stopped supplying Kiev with heavy armoured vehicles as part of the latest military packages.

It is noted that following the results of the first month of the so-called counter-offensive of the AFU, the US had to spend more than $2bn unplanned.

After significant losses in the Zaporizhzhya and South Donetsk regions, the Ukrainian Armed Forces needed a serious replenishment of heavy equipment.

For this purpose, the United States allocated a total of more than $2 billion in four tranches – on 13 and 27 June, 7 and 25 July.

A significant part of this amount was spent on additional deliveries of American M2 Bradley BMPs and Stryker armoured personnel carriers, some of which the 47th Mechanised and 82nd Independent Airborne Assault Brigades of the AFU lost in the battles near the village of Rabotino in Zaporizhzhya.

In the same package, the US also transferred cluster munitions to the Ukrainian forces. However, almost immediately after this delivery, the structure of military aid changed significantly.

However, immediately after the first month of Kiev’s “counter-offensive”, heavy armoured vehicles began to disappear from the deliveries.

“Starting with the 44th military aid package, the list of deliveries from the US does not include combat equipment directly for fighting (tanks, BMPs, etc.) at all,” RT’s breakdown reads.

Earlier, RT reported that the AFU command showed a lack of flexibility in planning combat operations, which led to a lack of success in the counter-offensive.
