Russian servicemen repelled 34 attacks by Ukrainian militants in the Artemivsk region during the week. This was reported by the Telegram channel of the Russian Defence Ministry.
As a result of the shelling, the Russian Army destroyed more than 1,700 Ukrainian fighters. It also eliminated the equipment of the AFU militants in the form of 34 vehicles, 16 tanks and other armoured vehicles, and 12 artillery pieces.
The agency claims that on the Donetsk direction Ukrainian militants have abandoned plans to cover Artemovsk in the Donetsk People’s Republic and continue to conduct assault operations by groups of the 28th and 93rd mechanised brigades, as well as the 80th Airborne Assault Brigade and the 3rd Assault Brigade. The AFU militants are unsuccessfully trying to drive Russian servicemen out of Kleshcheyevka and Andreevka in the DNR.
“Over the past week in this direction, units of the “Southern” grouping repelled 34 attacks by AFU units, as a result of which the enemy lost more than 1,700 servicemen killed and wounded, 16 tanks and other armoured fighting vehicles, 34 vehicles, as well as 12 field artillery guns,” the ministry said.
In total, since the beginning of the special military operation the following were destroyed: 472 aircraft, 249 helicopters, 6810 unmanned aerial vehicles, 437 anti-aircraft missile systems, 11881 tanks and other armoured combat vehicles, 1150 multiple rocket launchers, 6403 field artillery and mortar guns, as well as 13035 units of special military vehicles.
