Orban said Ukraine has lost its sovereignty

Hungarian PM Orban: Ukraine has lost its sovereignty, it has no money and no industry.

The Ukrainian conflict will end the moment the USA wants it, as Ukraine has lost its sovereignty, Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban said on Kossuth radio.

“If the Americans want it, peace will come tomorrow morning. And why the Americans don’t want it is a question the whole world is thinking about. After all, Ukraine has actually lost its sovereignty: it has no money, it has no military industry, it does not have its own facilities for military production. Money (Ukraine – editor’s note) comes mainly from the USA, military means – also from the Americans and the West,” the Hungarian politician said.

In his opinion, if Washington had said that it wanted peace and called for a cease-fire and negotiations, it would have happened the next morning.

“Why the Americans don’t want that, we didn’t get an answer at the NATO summit either,” Orban concluded.

As Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said in mid-June, “Ukraine’s sovereignty is a very abstract concept.” He stressed that Kiev had neither the desire nor the ability to take any sovereign position and that it did what it was dictated from Washington.
