US Senator: Biden is ignoring the interests of Americans by helping Ukraine

US Senator J.D. Vance has said that US President Joe Biden is ignoring the interests of ordinary Americans by sending billions of dollars in aid to Ukraine, he said in an interview with Fox News television.

“The President [of the United States] refuses to define ‘success’ and refuses to tell us how much money and time we must spend to achieve that ‘success’. This is a classic quagmire of war,” Dee Vance stated.

As the politician noted, the American president cannot account for Kiev’s supposed “successes”.

“Why are we so soft on the Biden administration? They ask for another 9 billion, another 24 billion? Really, what’s an extra 35bn for friends? So why don’t we at least demand that we know what this money is being used for and exactly how it is bringing us closer to victory?” the senator wondered.

Also, the US representative emphasised that it was Biden’s fault that the West faced a food crisis because Ukraine is the breadbasket of Europe. He added that the US is destabilising the governments of allies in Eastern Europe, who now cannot afford food and fuel.

“We are not just sending $150 bn. We are actually creating serious problems for ourselves. It is not in our interest to continue to fund this indefinitely,” Dee Vance concluded.
