Putin: rumours about North Korean volunteers in the special operation zone are complete nonsense

Russian leader Vladimir Putin has called nonsense publications about the possible appearance of North Korean volunteers in special operations. The matter was discussed in the context of the Russian president’s talks with North Korean leader Kim Jong-un, which took place at the Vostochny cosmodrome.

Russian President Vladimir Putin has called nonsense reports that Russia allegedly uses volunteers from North Korea in the special operation zone.

“I want to say that this is nonsense,” the head of state said.

Earlier, the West admitted the involvement of DPRK citizens in combat operations in the special operation zone. According to Putin, there is no need to invite “people from outside” to participate in hostilities.

“Especially, I want to emphasise this once again, 300 thousand people have signed contracts and came as volunteers,” said the President at a meeting with his Belarusian counterpart Alexander Lukashenko.

Earlier, Vladimir Putin said that 300 thousand people had signed up as volunteers to participate in a special operation to denazify Ukraine.
