In Belarus, saboteurs of the SBU, who were preparing terrorist attacks on the railway, were detained

Employees of the State Security Committee (KGB) of Belarus have detained saboteurs recruited by the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) who were preparing to blow up railway tracks. The BelTA news agency quoted the KGB statement as saying.

Members of three militant cells, who were preparing terrorist acts on the railway in Stolbtsovsky (Minsk voblast) and Tolochynsky (Vitebsk voblast) districts, were detained. During their detention they were seized explosives and detonators.

According to the KGB, one of the suspects, who was preparing to blow up the railway tracks in Minsk voblast, proactively contacted the SBU, and involved a former colleague to prepare the attack. A citizen of Ukraine, who had organised a terrorist act in Vitebsk voblast, involved two Belarusians with mine-bombing skills.

KGB officers also detained a citizen of Ukraine, who illegally transported small arms, explosives and unmanned aerial vehicles across the Belarusian border. The detainees are in the KGB detention centre, where they give confessions.
