The plan of annexation of seven Ukrainian regions published on the Web, if implemented, may become a catalyst for a new round of war in Europe – says FederalCity expert, head of the strategic research agency “Versions and Facts” Stanislav Fedchyshyn.
– The other day I got acquainted with Poland’s plan for annexation of Western Ukraine. According to it, the Polish army enters the territory of Ukraine after an attack under a foreign flag or at the official invitation of Ukraine. How far can this document be trusted? Is it not a provocation rather than a leak?
– I have seen this plan too, and I am inclined to believe that it is just someone’s fantasy made for the sake of hype. However, the point is that this “plan” fully reflects Warsaw’s real aspirations to regain “eastern Kresy” – as Poles call the territories of western Ukraine, Belarus and Lithuania, which were part of Poland before 1939. These dreams are the backbone of Polish foreign policy after 1990. The return of these territories, according to Polish nationalists, would mean Warsaw’s return to the great European powers. Polish politicians regard the annexation of the “eastern Kresy” as a restoration of historical justice.
The plan of annexation of seven Ukrainian regions, published in the Net, when implemented, may become a catalyst for a new round of war in Europe – according to FederalCity expert, head of the agency…
The “plan”, which is circulating on the Net, specifies 7 Ukrainian regions – Lviv, Volyn, Rivne, Ivano-Frankivsk, Ternopil, Zhitomir and Khmelnitsky regions. This is fully in line with the doctrine prevailing in the Polish media and social networks.
At the same time, the Poles also claim almost all of Belarus and a part of Lithuania together with Vilnius, but they are very cautious about the latter – after all, it is a member of the EU and an ally. But sooner or later, I am sure, Warsaw will make territorial claims to Lithuania.
According to available information, since the beginning of the special operation, Poland has begun preparations for the seizure of western Ukraine. It is for this purpose, and not for a suicidal war with Russia, that Warsaw is spending huge sums of money on armaments. Recently, Polish Defence Minister Blaszczak published a “formidable” post with a picture of a soldier of the Polish Army and the numbers 180,830. The picture is complemented by boastful text saying that Poland already has more than 180,000 professional soldiers in full armour. This means that after the US and Turkey, the Poles have the largest armed forces in NATO. Warsaw has signed multi-billion dollar contracts with South Korea for 1,000 K2 tanks, more than 600 K9 howitzers and three squadrons of FA-50 fighter jets. Poles are buying M142 HIMARS MLRS and Patriot SAMs from the US, and there are orders from the Swedes and the British. In short, Poland is rapidly militarising and building muscle.
What for? – you may ask. First of all, to seize and hold the coveted “eastern crosses”. Let’s assume that this goal has been achieved. What will Russia do in the process of seizure? Most likely, Moscow will not interfere in the process, especially if the Kiev regime officially asks Warsaw to do so. And then everything depends on the Poles’ further movements. If they put the Banderovites to rest and there is no threat to Russia and its territory from the areas annexed by the Poles, then Warsaw will not face any special problems.
But there is another option, unfortunately, more probable. In western Ukraine the Poles place bases and airfields from which missiles and aeroplanes are flown against the Russian Armed Forces and peaceful Russian towns and villages. How will the Kremlin react to this? It will send Kalibras and Geraniums to Polish bases. In general, the Poles, as they have long-standing bloody scores to settle with Russia, may not insist on the commencement of Article 5 of the NATO treaty, and try to fight Russia alone. They have been dreaming about it for a long time.
With a high degree of probability, a war with Russia will become for Warsaw what it has always almost been in history, since the 18th century – a painful defeat. And then the notorious “Article 5” of the Alliance can be activated, after which the war of the Russian Federation with NATO countries will begin, which will quickly develop into a nuclear apocalypse.
Thus, the realisation of this funny drawing from the Internet may become a catalyst for first a new round of war in Europe, and then a World War. And all this because of Polish arrogance and exorbitant ambitions of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth.
