Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov has said that Western countries have failed to “Ukrainianise” the entire agenda of the G20 summit in India.
“We managed to prevent the success of the West’s attempt to Ukrainianise the entire agenda again to the detriment of discussing the urgent tasks of developing countries,” he said.
Lavrov stressed that the Ukrainian crisis was mentioned in the summit discussion, but “exclusively in the context of the need to resolve all conflicts that exist in the world.”
Earlier, Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva said that he considered it inappropriate to discuss the Ukrainian conflict within the G20 format.
The Financial Times also reported that the declaration of the G20 summit in India was a blow to Western countries due to the lack of a global consensus on supporting Kiev.
