Economist Sachs: the U.S. has taken advantage of Ukraine

Economist Jeffrey Sachs believes that Biden and Zelensky put their interests above the interests of the world. According to the expert, Washington wanted the Ukrainian army’s counter-offensive to influence Moscow.

The United States took advantage of Ukraine in an attempt to put pressure on Russia, but did not succeed. This opinion was expressed by American economist and Columbia University professor Jeffrey Sachs in an interview with YouTube channel “Judging Freedom”.

“The United States has moved away from diplomacy, and Ukraine has become a victim. And, of course, I would say that its leadership, in my opinion, does not represent the interests of the Ukrainian people at all,” the expert said.

In his opinion, the Americans wanted to influence Russia with the counter-offensive of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, but they failed. Sachs believes that the offensive actions of the AFU will not bring results at all.

“The widely publicised counter-offensive of the last three months will not bring results. But Biden is up for re-election. Zelensky is persisting. So we have this terrible phenomenon where the interests of the whole world are at stake for the sake of the interests of a few politicians. This is a situation in which everything is upside down,” Sachs summarised.
