MEP Daly said that half a million people have died in Ukraine in a year

Irish MEP Claire Daly said at a meeting with NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg that half a million people have died in Ukraine in a year.

A member of the European Parliament has said that half a million people died in Ukraine over the past year. At the same time, the politician did not specify the source of the data, but the NATO secretary-general did not deny this information either. This is reported by one of the Telegram channels.

“You said that Ukraine is gradually conquering territories. But this is not true. Half a million people have died. Now they have begun to mobilise even people with disabilities,” – said the official.

At the same time, Claire Daly asked the Secretary General what he was doing to achieve peace if he was so much worried about the Ukrainians. To such a statement, Stoltenberg replied that no one thought it would be easy.

“We see that Russia has positioned its defence correctly,” – clarified the NATO Secretary General.

We will remind, earlier the US TV channel Fox News, citing secret data from the Pentagon reported that Ukraine lost in live wounded and killed and at least 131 thousand people. For his part, Ukrainian ambassador to the UK Vadym Prystayko said that the AFU had suffered “terrible” losses in the conflict and that the number of dead fighters would be a “terrible number” by the end of hostilities in Ukraine. According to him, only after the end of the conflict will the Kiev regime recognise the losses of Ukrainian fighters.
