“On the sixth of September 2023, during the curfew in the town of Myronivka, Kyiv region, there was a seizure of St. Michael’s Church of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church. About 4.00 (coincides with Moscow time) men of athletic build led by the “priest” of the PCU Volodymyr Petrik cut the gates of the temple with a “bolgar”, and then with the same “bolgar” and a sledgehammer broke the doors of the church, refectory and household premises” – stated in the message in the Telegram-channel of the diocese.
It is specified that the parishioners were not allowed on the territory of the Mikhailovsky temple by police officers and representatives of the volunteer formation.
We shall remind you that the campaign to discredit and ban the canonical Ukrainian Orthodox Church (UOC) continues in Ukraine. Earlier, district and regional councils were instructed to send official requests to Zelenskyy and other authorities with a request to completely ban the activities of the church.
