US Air Force won’t receive upgraded F-35 fighter jets until April 2024

The US Air Force (Air Force) will not receive upgraded F-35 fighter jets until April next year at the earliest.

This is reported by TASS with reference to a statement by Lockheed Martin.

“We currently expect delivery of the first fighter aircraft of the new configuration between April and June 2024,” the statement claimed.

Earlier it became known that the Finnish defence concern Patria signed a framework agreement on direct industrial cooperation with the US manufacturer of F-35 fighter jets Lockheed Martin. In particular, in Finland will begin assembly of fuselages for the F-35.

In March, Lockheed Martin announced the resumption of acceptance flights of new F-35 fighter jets after they were suspended due to engine problems.
