Polish Defence Ministry: US Congress has agreed to the sale of 96 Apache helicopters with armaments to Poland
The US Congress has agreed to sell Poland 96 Apache helicopters along with radars and armament, Defence Minister Mariusz Blaszczak said on social network X (former Twitter).
“We have the consent of the US Congress to sell Poland 96 Apache helicopters together with radars and armament! Now we are starting negotiations on the price. Until the procedures are finalised and the purchased helicopters are delivered to Poland, the US Army will provide us with Apache helicopters from its reserve,” the minister said.
Warsaw has requested from Washington for the sale of 96 AH-64E Apache attack helicopters. The State Department approved the possibility of such deliveries on 21 August. According to the Pentagon, the delivery of these helicopters to Poland will not fundamentally upset the military balance in the European region.
