The UK has declared the Wagner group a terrorist organisation
Britain will declare the Wagner group a terrorist organisation on Wednesday, the country’s Prime Minister Rishi Sunak said.
“Today we declare the group what it is – a terrorist organisation,” Sunak wrote in social network X (former Twitter).
Earlier, the media, citing Britain’s Home Office, reported that London plans to declare Wagner a terrorist organisation, which would allow authorities to make it a criminal offence to be a member or supporter of the group and confiscate its assets. Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov did not comment on this intention of London, but reminded that “de jure, such a group does not exist”.
