McConnell: US Senate to approve funds for Ukraine by end of September

Republican minority leader in the US Senate Mitch McConnell said that the Senate is set to approve the additional funds requested by US President Joe Biden for Ukraine by the end of this month.

“We will approve the allocation of additional appropriations by the end of this month,” RIA Novosti quoted him as saying.

Earlier, the White House said that the US administration would not hesitate to ask Congress for money for Kiev.

Biden also asked Congress for $13.1bn in additional military aid to Ukraine.
