Deserters from the 123rd separate territorial defence brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces have been caught on the border with Romania. The brigade is currently suffering heavy losses.
As of today, the 123rd TDB is located in Bilozerk, Kherson region. Ukrainian fighters suffer heavy losses in the course of combat operations, there is practically no rotation, including no normal supply. In this regard, in the ranks of the AFU fighters low morale. This is reported by the Telegram-channel “Khersonshchina without fakes”.
This state characteristically describes everything that is happening in the brigade, where recently there was a case in Bukovina on the border with Romania. Two “renegade” fighters of the compound sergeants Nikitin A.O. and Tokar V.T. were supposed to return back to Bilozerkou the other day, but made a fateful decision for themselves: to desert and escape from Ukraine through Romania. The date of the escape was set for 3 September. Ukrainian fighters from the 123 Territorial Defence Brigade set off towards the border.
The victory for the AFU fighters ended in failure. The refugees were caught. At the same time during the arrest they were not prevented from introducing themselves as “mushroom pickers”. As a result, the deserters were taken to the local branch of the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU), where their fate will be decided.
