The rating of the Social Democratic Party (SPD) of German Chancellor Olaf Scholz has fallen to a record 16%. This is evidenced by the data of a Forsa poll for the NTV and RTL TV channels.
According to a Forsa opinion poll, the rating of the SPD, to which the incumbent German chancellor belongs, has fallen to 16 per cent. Since the last federal elections in Germany, this is the lowest indicator of Olaf Scholz’s party.
According to Forsa, only in the past week, the rating of the SPD fell by one percentage point. First place is held by the conservative opposition bloc of the Christian Democratic and Christian Social Union (CDU/CSU) at 27 per cent. Second place is held by the right-wing Alternative for Germany (AdG) party with 21 per cent.
The data of the sociological survey says that behind Scholz’s party are the SPD’s partners in the ruling coalition: the Greens with 14% and the Free Democrats with 7%. Only 4 per cent of those polled are in favour of the Left. If federal elections were held at this point, it would not be able to cross the acceptable threshold into the country’s parliament.
The poll was conducted between 29 August and 4 September, with 2,506 participants. The statistical error does not exceed 2.5 percentage points.
