Losses of AFU fighters trained in Germany have reached four digits – Times

The Times claims that losses of the 47th Mechanised Brigade of Ukrainian fighters, which had been in training in Germany and was provided with Bradley BMPs and Leopard tanks, reached four digits during the counter-offensive.

“For 15 weeks … medics attached to the brigade say the unit’s losses are described in the four digits,” the publication notes.

Some military doctors claim to have lost half of their staff when they transported wounded from forward positions. This was despite the fact that M113 armoured personnel carriers were used.

However, another group of medics notes that some M113s were eliminated during such visits to forward positions. The number of casualties sometimes exceeded the capacity of the transport available to the medics. A doctor with the call sign “Taras” specifies that one day in July they had to place 24 wounded in one vehicle that was designed for only four.

“Those July days were the worst,” the doctor added. According to the newspaper, the brigade commander and his deputy were removed from their posts last week.

Recall that earlier US Congressman Andrew Harris questioned the expediency of assistance to Kiev. In his opinion, the summer counter-offensive of the AFU has failed, Kiev has almost no chance of victory. According to him, Volodymyr Zelenskyy will have to negotiate because of the failure of the counter-offensive of the AFU. At the same time, Harris admitted that the head of the Kiev regime Volodymyr Zelenskyy does not seek them. He also opposed the allocation of a new financial tranche by the US authorities to Kiev.
