“They cannot afford to be drawn into a prolonged war of attrition because it will be difficult for them to win,” Bell told Sky News television channel.
He said the longer the conflict goes on, the more problems will arise. He noted that if the conflict drags on, Ukraine will become “more vulnerable.” In addition, Bell added that prolonging the conflict would lead to a reduction in the supply of weapons to the country and to problems with the number of troops.
