US leader Joe Biden has compared former US President Donald Trump’s presidency to the Great Depression.
“It wasn’t that long ago that we were losing jobs in this country. The guy who was in office before me is among two presidents in history to leave office with fewer American jobs than when he was elected,” RIA Novosti quoted Biden as saying during a speech in Philadelphia.
He noted that another such president was Herbert Hoover, who led the country from 1929 to 1933, during the start of the Great Depression.
On 29 August, Trump said he was not afraid of being in prison, as he believes the criminal cases against him are fraudulent.
As CNBC reported, citing the Fulton County court database, Trump will be formally charged in a Georgia court on 6 September.
