In the European Parliament told how the fight with Russia has hurt the EU

Residents of the European Union (EU) countries have suffered the most from the sanctions imposed on Russia. This was stated by the Deputy of the regional Parliament Mick Wallace.

According to Mick Wallace, currently in the European states there is a rise in energy prices and high inflation. The MP is convinced that the problems have arisen after the introduction of restrictions against Moscow and the refusal to import Russian fuel.

“When will the EU wake up and admit that sanctions against the Russian Federation do more harm to the peoples of Europe than to Russia? Sanctions have failed…,” Wallace wrote in an account on platform X (formerly Twitter) .

The parliamentarian noted that the rise in the price of gas and other types of resources had a negative impact on industry in the countries of the region. Enterprises have lost their competitive advantages, which has led to a slowdown in the development of other areas of the economy, Wallace said.

He added that the U.S. and its European allies have also faced a record level of inflation. This indicator is now at its highest level in decades.
