Reuters has admitted that Xi Jinping will not go to the G20 summit in India

President Xi Jinping of the People’s Republic of China is unlikely to go to the G20 summit in India. Li Keqiang, Premier of China’s State Council, will go to the summit instead.

Citing sources, Reuters reported.

“We know that the prime minister will come instead of Xi,” the report said.

Earlier, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said that Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov will lead the Russian delegation at the G20 summit in India on the instructions of Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Politico quoted a source as saying that a meeting on Ukraine at the level of the leaders of the countries may take place on the margins of the UN General Assembly in New York in September or as part of the G20 meeting in India.
