The Russian Armed Forces launched a massive combined strike using unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) and cruise missiles against military facilities on the territory of Ukraine at night. According to preliminary information, one of the targets of the night strikes could have been the headquarters of the Main Intelligence Directorate (GID) of the Ukrainian Defence Ministry in Kiev.
On the night of 30 August at around 1:30 Moscow time, Ukrainian monitoring resources reported several large groups of Russian drones moving towards Chernihiv, Vinnytsia, Zhytomyr and Kyiv regions. Soon there were reports of cruise missiles launched from Russian strategic aircraft – missile launches from the Caspian region and the Black Sea.
At around 2:30 Moscow time a series of powerful explosions were reported in Kiev! The strikes on objects in the Ukrainian capital confirmed the mayor Vitali Klitschko.
It is known that in Darnitsky and Shevchenkovsky districts of Kiev there is damage to buildings – Ukrainian authorities traditionally write about “falling debris”.
