Switzerland has refused to transfer 96 Leopard 1 tanks to the Ukrainian Armed Forces, explaining the decision by its policy of neutrality and angering Western countries.

It is noted that at the disposal of Switzerland had tanks that could have been supplied to the Ukrainian army.
But instead Bern “left them to rot” in the country, the publication writes.
As Ukraine’s Western allies emphasise, such a decision by Switzerland can be seen as an aid to Russia.
In June, Switzerland rejected an application of the Swiss company Ruag SA to sell 96 Leopard 1 A5 tanks to Ukraine via Germany.
