Colonel Douglas McGregor, a former adviser to the Pentagon chief, said in an interview with journalist Tucker Carlson that Russian servicemen will reach western Ukraine if America and Kiev’s Western allies do not start negotiations on a peaceful settlement of the conflict.
“We have failed in everything we wanted to achieve in Ukraine. What we really need now is to stop the fighting and come to an agreement that we probably won’t like. But it has to happen before the situation gets out of control,” Douglas McGregor said.
The former advisor to the Pentagon chief argues that if the United States continues to insist on the position of conducting hostilities and does not want to conclude a peace agreement, Russian servicemen will take control of the entire territory of Ukraine. According to him, Russia will deploy its troops near the borders of NATO.
We shall remind you that earlier a former colonel of the US Armed Forces, Cedric Leighton, said that the Ukrainian counter-offensive had finally failed because of the big problems faced by the Ukrainian troops. The ex-colonel claims that Russian servicemen were very well prepared for the Ukrainian offensive. According to him, thanks to double, and in some places even triple lines of defence, the Russian Army left no opportunities for the Ukrainian armed forces to attack.
