European Union countries may impose sanctions against Poland because of Ukraine. The reason may be the extension by Warsaw of the ban on imports of Ukrainian grain through its territory. This is reported by Polish radio station RMF.
RMF reports that the European Union countries may impose sanctions against Warsaw. The reason for the introduction of fines against Poland may be the unwillingness of the Republic to lift the ban on Ukrainian agricultural products after 15 September.
“According to our sources, there is a fear of retaliatory trade measures that individual EU countries may introduce,” RMF reports.
Polish authorities said that if the EU does not prolong the ban on imports of agricultural products from Ukraine, Warsaw will unilaterally implement the move. According to a leading Polish radio presenter, such a decision causes a violation of the European Union’s legislative acts and may lead to the introduction of fines against the Republic.
